Guitar On the Spot – Frustrated With The Guitar? This secret might help

Description:

I did too until I discovered this simple secret. Once you know that playing the guitar will immediately be fun and easy, even if you’ve never played the guitar before.

You will be able to compose your own songs, play along with any song and jam with other people.

The secret is knowing the basic concept. Once you know that, you will realize that you are using simple code to play the guitar.

If you have an aspiration to play guitar but have a hard time understanding it, I feel your pain. I struggled for years until I finally figured out the basic concept, and then everything made sense.

“Guitar-on-the-spot.com made songwriting a reality for me”

“I didn’t realize you could just pick any key and make songs like that. I never made that ‘key’ connection. It made songwriting real for me.”

“I looked at Jesse’s easy chord chart, picked the key of A, found three chords that I liked and came up with a song.”

Andrew Pierce, Greenville, South Carolina

Listen to some of Andrew’s songs “Advice from a Stranger”

“…it never gets boring.”

“Learning how to play with songs has inspired me to learn more because it never gets boring. You can play with any song.”

“I didn’t know there was a songwriting system.”

“I thought the guitar was more complicated than it is”

“I thought the guitar was more complicated than it is, and I didn’t realize that you can play the same chord in so many different places.”

Engberg, Blue Lake, California

“I don’t want to read a huge textbook. I just want to write songs.”

“My dad brought me a guitar book and told me to put my fingers in here and play the strum. But then I was like, ‘How does this all go together? I just don’t understand. “I don’t want to read a huge textbook, because that’s like homework. I just want to automatically know how to compose songs and that’s what Jesse showed me how to do.”

—Robyn Lidenbach, Los Angeles, California

Ever wonder how a band of musicians automatically start making music together and everything they play sounds good? I wondered about it for a long time and then discovered the secret I had lost.

The Secret – Key Concept – ********************** The majority of songs you hear are in certain “keys”. ***********************

When the musicians get together, they choose a key for the jam, such as the key of C, or the key of D, and then begin to play the notes and chords in that key. As long as everyone is playing in the same key, they will sound good together.

So, “Hotel California” by the Eagles (in the list above), mainly uses notes and chords in the key of D.

It’s not a rule that everyone has to stay on the same key (there are no rules when creating music. It’s just a starting point for getting everyone on the same page.

You can see and hear what I’m talking about below. There is a chart with a bunch of diagrams and some yellow buttons. Each row of strings represents a key.

If you want to compose a song, all you have to do is choose one of those rows and play any chords in that row one by one. There are six major chords in any key (row) so you can roll a die to select the chords.

You can hear the chords in the key of C by clicking any yellow buttons. If you’re completely new to the guitar, click here to learn how to read chord charts in three simple steps.

How to make your own songs on guitar

1 Pick a key for your song! Choose a key for your song by choosing any of the rows of chords below.

2 ROLL a Die to pick the chords from this key or randomly choose any chords from this key.

3 Play your song! Then pick up your guitar and play the chords you just picked. Click here to learn how to play chords on your guitar.

Clicking buttons is a fun way to compose songs without having to learn how to play the guitar. When I’m too lazy to pick up the guitar, I just sit there and compose songs by clicking buttons. And I find it’s a great way for me to write songs. I think of parts I wouldn’t have thought of if I’d been playing guitar.
